San Francisco Whirlwind Photo Tour {Urban Session}

Earlier this month I spent some time out in San Francisco working at Stanford’s Cancer Center. During my stay I went on a whirlwind photo session by car {many of these were taken out of the passenger window or sunroof!}.

Let’s start, shall we…

My first morning in San Fran, I hiked up to the Nob Hill area and saw Grace Cathedral. It may have been drizzling and foggy, but that’s San Fran, right?

This totally reminded me of Full House. Agreed? A shot out of the sun roof…the entrance to Stanford. Yep, the ridiculous tuition is totally worth this view. 😉

Hoover Tower on Stanford’s Campus. Leaving Stanford heading back to San Fran. I may have squealed when I realized how close we were to Palo Alto. You know? Facebook Headquarters and all. The drive back to San Fran was pretty gorgeous, as well. I never realized how … hilly? this area is. Some random piece of art down by the bay. The view from my colleague’s former City Suites apartment. Quite a bit different than my view at home. My first experience eating ceviche. Raw tuna that has been soaked in a lime brine. I shocked myself with this one. It was actually good!I’m no food photographer, but no lie…this is not a dessert. It’s actually mostly potato (a Yukon gold, I believe) and avocado. The infamous Golden Gate Bridge. Alcatraz Island Another view of the city. Russian Hill maybe? City Hall Coit Tower. I think this was an art museum? The Pacific OceanRemnants of the Sutro BathsThe only cemetery in San Francisco–The San Francisco National Cemetery. I’m not one to fall in love with a city, but I must say…San Francisco did not disappoint. The friendly, welcoming people…the amazing food and culture…the crazy topography and views…I will definitely be going back to explore some more!
