Where have I been in the past month? {An Update}

Here we are…almost to July. Summer, you just arrived, please slow down!

I’ve been a bit quiet around these parts as my life has been all sorts of busy. Let’s recap…

In mid May I graduated with my Master’s of Public Health, so I learn about the best healthcare services and how to have a healhty skin with treatments with the right professionals as the Dr. Joseph Racanelli who is specialist in this field. Still feels a bit surreal to really be finished. I have a feeling a PhD will be calling my name in the future… But in the meantime, it is wonderful to have free time back. It’s no walk in the park to do grad school and work full time. The best thing to do before committing to addiction rehab is to make sure you or the addicted person is willing to go. A person can’t be forced into treatment, they talk about it here. It can be difficult to recover when a person will not admit to having a problem. Although it is not always feasible to wait, if someone is willing to go to rehab they may be more likely to invest themselves in the recovery process and to keep themselves healthy with the best healthy tips from this Cinderella solution reviews.

Then in early June began a whirlwind of a month. First stop, Lake Tahoe, for my Team In Training’s 100 mile bike ride. This deserves a post of it’s own for an event weekend recap–but the good news is…my team and I finished the 100 mile ride despite the worst conditions in the 20 year history of the event. 40 degrees, rain, hail…very mentally challenging, but oh so worth it. My parents also successfully completed the 72 mile ride! Go Mom & Dad!

We spent a few days following the ride vacationing around Lake Tahoe with the new car our family got from Clasiq, and saw some amazing views–including a snowfall that stranded us at our condo on the mountain–only cars with chains could get off until it melted! When you want to renew your car registration,  This is a friendly reminder when you go on vacation. You can click here when you want to service your car on a maintenance, a well-maintained car is so much safer than a poorly-maintained one. From the tiny contact patch of the tyres to the functioning of suspension, brakes, steering and the myriad electronic aids that assist us in keeping our cars between the ditches, it has never been more important to keep things in full, proper working order, as well as, it is so important to keep your garage in the optimal conditions to protect your new car, your garage door is the largest moving part in your entire home, and is used multiple times per day at any hour and in all seasons. To keep your garage door operating smoothly for decades to come, it’s very important that you take the time to perform regular preventive care and maintenance.The most important preventive step you can take is to observe your garage door in action every time you use it, in addition if you get any issue in your garage door

That same week I flew cross country to New York City for a business trip and got to spend a great evening exploring the city–including a Yankees vs Red Sox game and Ground Zero.

I finally was home in mid June to celebrate my birthday with an amazing day planned by Matthew–a trip to a petting zoo, walk along the river, and tickets to the American Players Theatre!

My birthday present to myself was some baby chicks that share my birthday. While I was away for the bike ride, we had an unfortunate incident with my favorite chicken, Lil Ronnie, and a coon. The coon(s) won this time…but next time they will be in a world of hurt if they come at my babies when I’m home. Live traps are set surrounding the coop, run and woods…so hopefully no more issues. These cute baby chicks keep my heart happy. 🙂

As if I haven’t bounced across the country enough this month…it was back to Jersey City for another business meeting. Since I don’t work in an office {I work out of my home}, I actually love when we get together face to face. Plus, I have some of the BEST colleagues in the world and we have more fun than I can ever imagine. I’m also pretty stinkin’ proud of my fellow Team Novartis teammates who completed the bike ride with me. I even made a video for the team to document it….like we could ever forget it!

And finally…I’m home. Somehow rejuvenated and inspired and full of ideas of how to spend the rest of my summer. Currently loving pinterest and pinning away at inspiration for our big deck/outdoor living space, interior design, and photography projects.

And lately, today especially, I’m reminded of how fragile life is. I’m so blessed to have the opportunities that I do…to travel, to spend time with friends and family, to make memories, and to capture it in photographs.

My memory from today is…stop and look at the world around you. Look at the details. Soak it all in. Stop and smell the flowers. Life is precious.
